Being an effective team member takes into also being committed, passionate and positive. They should be engaged in conversations or the commands that they are given. Giving corrections and cheering up someone brings in perfecting skills. In an academic setting, I would always take it serious and I would pay attention then afterwards I would make sure to tell everyone that we have done a good job to at least make them smile after our hard work. In an non-academic setting, I'd tell all my friends that I am always there for them no matter what the situation is. Even if it's fighting in a friendship, I would try my best to put them back together.
